Service Description
This is the second required course and is given over two (2) 8-hour days (16 hours total). This course must be completed within ninety (90) days of employment as a security guard or within ninety (90) days of obtaining your 8 Hour Pre-Assignment Training certificate. The 16 Hour On-The-Job Training Course provides the student with detailed information on the duties and responsibilities of a security guard. Topics covered in this course include the role of the security guard, legal powers and limitations, emergency situations, communications and public relations, access control, ethics and conduct, incident command system, and terrorism. The passing of an examination is required for successful completion of this course. When you arrive to take the 16 Hour On-The-Job-Training (OJT) Course, please bring your NYS photo ID (NYS Driver’s license or NYS ID) AND your Social Security Card. A photocopy of both documents will be made for our records. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early and be prepared to begin on time.
Cancellation Policy
Refund Policy Mandated refund policy per NYCRR 6028.7 -Students will receive a 100% refund prior to the start of instruction. -For courses divided between two days, the student will receive a 50% refund if requested before the start of the second day. -A security guard training school cannot assess any non-refundable registration fees, cancellation fees, or deposits. -For all refunds, Kind Hand Security LLC will follow DCJS mandated policy and procedure. Applicants must also present a valid NYS photo ID, the method of payment used including the last 4 digits of the credit/debit card and the receipt of payment when requesting a refund. -Please allow up to 10 business days for refunds to be processed.
